Held since 1983, the Taste of Madison is Madison Festivals' flagship event, bringing together over 80 restaurants, three entertainment stages, 26 beverage stands, and the Green Bay Packers Lambeau Field Live for a second time. The event attracts over 250,000 visitors to the Wisconsin State Capitol Square over the Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Attendance to this event and entertainment is free of charge. The Taste of Madison has been instrumental in raising over $1.2 million for local non-profit and charitable organizations since its establishment.

Celebrate 40 years this Labor Day weekend, on September 3rd and 4th, in downtown Madison as part of the largest picnic on Capitol Square. Taste of Madison, presented by Starion Bank, is a fundraising initiative showcasing over 70 food vendors, various beverage options, and continuous live music entertainment throughout the day. Furthermore, attendance at the event is complimentary.
